Trans Texas Surveying & Mapping is a professional surveying and GIS service provider in the energy and utility sectors in addition to boundary surveys and topographic surveys. Trans Texas Surveying & Mapping, LLC was created and implemented the first day of January, 2012 and is rapidly gaining momentum in the Wind farm sector, in addition to oil and gas.

The location of our office is the same as what is known formerly as Dumas Land Surveying Inc. as Erik Dumas is now the Director of Public Works for Johnson County Texas. We are blessed that we were able to retain the key employees from Dumas and integrate the team that is the core of Young and Associates (which no longer is an active firm) and was very involved in the Eagle Ford Shale and the Barnett Shale.

Robert L Young, RPLS, started creating a digital GIS base map containing over 25 years of oil and gas survey data, including the boundaries on Grid Coordinates from almost 120 different Texas Counties back in the 1990's. He saw the vision of combining an intelligent digital map with survey grade GPS long before others in our industry.

The result of his legacy data is the perpetuation of repeatable earth addresses for all data collected and processed no matter where to project.

This "geospatial file cabinet" approach allows Trans Texas Surveying & Mapping to mobilize our field crews and complete projects quickly and efficiently.

We proudly partner with Childress Engineering in Cleburne, Texas and The West Company of Midland Texas on many projects. Both companies are in the GREAT column with respect to author Jim Collins in his book, Good to Great. 

We are a professional service company that is known for our ability to complete projects on time and with the utmost quality. We consciously strive for an A+ with all of our projects using our GIS, awesome people, and latest technologies. We provide all of our deliverables in whatever format our clients prefer, survey grade GIS shapefiles and geodatabases, digital CAD files, hard copy maps, plats, plan and profile sheets, and legal descriptions. Our market area is TEXAS, with a specific focus on North Texas as our headquarters is in Cleburne, Texas.
