About Us
While our new doors opened in January 2012, Trans Texas Surveying & Mapping comes from a long line surveying knowledge with 125 years of combined surveying experience. Young & Associates opened the doors in 2007 after buying and building Frontier Surveying based in Corpus Christi. Young and Associates has been in the transformation process for a year and now combined with Dumas Surveying Trans Texas Surveying & Mapping was created. We are working all over the State with the best of the best in regards to field and office personnel.
Our internal GIS greatly enhances the quality of the job preparation as we have many original corners and other pertinent data geo-referenced in our geospatial file cabinet. We are often called to rely on the patented field notes from the Texas General Land office, and the working sketches that state surveyors create to ensure we retrace the original abstracts and subdivisions in our boundary surveys.
Other surveys that we perform consist of accurate and repeatable measurements that locate trees and other natural and man made objects to facilitate the creation of paper and digital maps to meet our client's needs. We add data to our geospatial file cabinet known as our GIS each day as all of our work is done on repeatable State Plane Coordinates.
